Melbourne Ballet Company is proud to present Project Five BELIEVE, BELIEVE - to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so: Only if one believes in something can one act purposefully. Wall 2 Wall - Choreographed by Sharon Fernandez Beethoven provides the backdrop to "Wall to Wall", and the massive impact of the global financial crisis. Society's focus on the role of that excessive greed changed our beliefs and shook our core value system, is reflected on lifestyle and liberty that is being challenged constantly.

Smile- Choreographed by Robert Kelly As a bride experiences her own wedding day, she questions the apparent commercialism of this process. The process and the traditions of weddings she was encouraged to accept and to believe in, is beginning to lose its aura. Set to the music of ... "Smile" is a work that pays tribute to the sceptics of tradition ... Infinite Spaces- Choreographed by Simon Hoy Shaped by the music of Peter Gabriel, this work is a celebration of fundamental human driving forces, especially the core idea that without hope there is nothing.

This work is a tribute to the evolution and maturity of our self conscious - ultimately to believe in yourself... Submerged- Choreographed by Simon Hoy "Submerged" set to the music of Samuel Barber, depicts in dance a testament to a fruitful, resource-conscious, life. The theme mirrors the endless possibilities of our lives and scope for development even when that which we need and is essential, is no longer available.
